Where is the event being held?
We’re pleased to be hosting our first get-together in more than two years at
The Grand Hotel, Birmingham. The conference, dinners and accommodation will all be under one roof.

Our Reach Leader community, which comprises c.100 leaders from across Reach. If you have any questions about the group or who is in it, please speak to your HR contact.
What’s going to be covered?
The conference will be focused on connecting as a leadership team and bringing our strategy to life for our teams. It won’t be chalk and talk so please come prepared to get involved, discuss and challenge.
Do I need to book a hotel room?
No. We’ll book everyone a room at The Grand for both nights (31st and 1st). If you have any special requirements, please let us know in your RSVP or email InternalComms@reachplc.com.
How do I book my travel?
Please book your travel to/from Birmingham as soon as possible on our FCM Travel Portal. Here’s some guidance you might find useful.

What’s the best way to get to the venue?
Depending on where you’re coming from, the train is probably best – it’s a 6-minute walk from Birmingham New Street station and a 3-minute walk from Birmingham Snowhill station. Please make sure you keep an eye on planned industrial action or engineering works.
Can I drive to the venue?
Yes, if it’s the best option for you (or you have a company car). Please car-share if you can. There’s no on-site parking, but there’s a car park within minutes of the venue on Snowhill (postcode B3 2BS). You can expense the cost of parking across the three days (£16.30 for up to 24 hours), as well as mileage. Please check our Travel & Expenses policy for more info.
Do I need to organise meals?
No, we’ll make sure you’re well fed and watered from Monday evening through to Wednesday morning! We therefore won’t be covering any other entertainment costs for these evenings.
What shall I pack?
The entire event, including conference and dinners, will be relatively informal, so feel free to wear whatever you feel most comfortable in.
Will the event be streamed/recorded?
This will be a live, in-person event so we won’t be streaming it. We’ll record parts of the event to use for cascade, but want it to be a safe space for confidential discussion so unfortunately we won’t be able to share a full recording for you to catch up on.
I can’t make it; what shall I do?
We really hope to see the whole Reach Leaders team together for the event, but if you really can’t make it then please let us know in your RSVP or email InternalComms@reachplc.com. We’ll share follow-up materials with you after the event.
Will there be somewhere at the venue I can take a call?
We hope that everyone is able to close laptops and fully focus on the conference, but we know urgent things come up. There’s space in the foyer to take a quick call; for anything confidential you’ll need to go back to your room.
Do I need to take a lateral flow test?
In line with the latest guidance we’re no longer asking our people to take LFTs before coming to face-to-face meetings, but please do follow Covid safety guidance in the venue and stay home if you’re unwell.
